The protein concentration of supernatant was determined using bicinchoninic acid detection kits (Beyotime Biotechnology Co., Ltd, Shanghai, China). The contents of interleukin (IL)-6, IL-1β, IL-10 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α in prostate were assayed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kits (Jiangsu Meimian Industrial Co., Ltd,China). Testicle tissue homogenate supernatant level of growth hormone (GH, DB364-Ra), insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-1,DB124-Ra), testosterone (DB779-Ra) and dihydrotestosterone(DB344-Ra) were detected using ELISA kits (Shanghai Huding Biological Technology Co., Ltd, China). The activity of ALT and AST of serum were determined using specialized detection kits (Nanjing

Jiancheng Bioengineering Institute). All operations followed the manufacturer's protocols.
